Paris Saint Germain have confirmed they have sacked Thomas Tuchel - with Mauricio Pochettino the hot favourite to replace him.
It is believed the French boss was actually relieved of his duties almost a week ago, but it was only officially announced by the club on Tuesday morning.
A statement from PSG president Nassel Al-Khelaifi read: "I would like to thank Thomas Tuchel and his staff for everything they have given to the Club. "Thomas has put a lot of energy and passion into his work, and of course we will remember the good times we shared together.
I wish him the best for his future." Tuchel was in charge for two-and-a-half seasons and won two Ligue 1 titles and a Coup de France, as well as guiding his side to the Champions League final
