Tottenham will no longer have to pay Mauricio Pochettino's wages if he takes the Paris Saint-Germain job. Pochettino is the frontrunner to become PSG boss after Thomas Tuchel was dismissed on Christmas Eve following a controversial interview.
The Argentine has been out of work for over a year after he was sacked by Spurs last November following a disappointing start to the season.
But the north London club has continued to pay Pochettino's £8.5million-per-year salary due to a payroll clause inserted in the lucrative contract he signed in 2018 - which intended to keep him at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium until 2023.
