Prince Philip is now in his longest ever hospital stay as he begins his second weekend inside battling an infection.The 99-year-old royal was admitted to King Edward VII Hospital in London on Tuesday, February 16 as a precautionary measure after feeling unwell.Buckingham Palace said he was "comfortable" and "responding" to medical help after his hospital admittance was announced.Philip has now been in hospital for 12 days, beating his previous longest stint of 11 days in 2013 after an operation on his abdomen.
His son Prince Edward said this week his dad was "a lot better" but was "looking forward to getting out" with the Royal Family "keeping their fingers crossed".Philip is due to celebrate his 100th birthday on June 10.
