Prince Charles has reportedly told friends he wants the BBC to stop showing clips of Martin Bashir's Panorama interview. The Duke of Cornwall is yet to issue a formal statement following the publication of Lord Dyson's damning report.

But he has apparently told aides he is annoyed the broadcaster keeps airing parts of the 1995 programme in news reports. A source told the Mail on Sunday "there is a feeling that the BBC shouldn't be showing any footage at all from the interview".
