A mum who gave birth while attached to a life-saving ventilator has recovered from a serious case of Covid-19. Megan Sites was seven months pregnant when she was rushed to Joint Township's emergency department on April 1.
The 27-year-old Ohio woman had difficulty breathing and couldn't lay flat. After testing found that she had the coronavirus Megan, who was still conscious, was put on a ventilator.
Her condition briefly improved enough for her to be taken off the machine before the disease suddenly worsened dramatically. "Everything in my body, it hurt to breathe, to move, to cough, to anything, it hurt," she told the Columbus Dispatch. "I had a few breakdown moments.
