Police have vowed to continue their fight against callous criminals who exploit Scotland’s most vulnerable in a bid to flood communities with drugs.Officers have seen a rise in ‘County Lines’ activity where children and vulnerable adults are recruited by dealers to distribute their drugs across the country.The heartless criminals often set up a temporary base by conning their way into a person’s home - known as ‘cuckooing’ - before moving onto their next victim a short time later.They set up a single phone line for users to order drugs before using their exploited mules to carry their illicit substances into local communities.Police in Ayrshire have declared war on drug dealers in their area and have urged anyone with information to come.
