Police are warning residents about two 'forceful' bogus workmen operating in Bury who appear to be targeting the vulnerable and elderly.

The workmen have been reported by residents in Middleton Drive, which borders Whitefield and Sunny Bank. They have been offering roof and maintenance work for large amounts of money and offering people lifts to the bank to withdraw cash.

The men have been driving an old white transit van and have been spotted wearing dark combat pants and navy blue sweatshirts, say police.

The first male has been described as white, approximately 40 to 45-years-old, with slick black hair and a European accent. The second male has been described also as white, 40 to 45-years-old, with a ginger beard and an Irish accent.
