Police recover stolen vehicle in Leigh car park

Police have recovered a stolen vehicle in Leigh following a theft earlier this week. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said the vehicle, which appears to be a Seat Ibiza, was stolen "by means of burglary" on January 17.

It was discovered by night patrol officers in a car park on Keats Street in Leigh, the force said in a tweet sent in the early hours of Friday morning (January 21).

Keats Street is located off the A578 (Wigan Road), just south of Westleigh. In a tweet sent at 3:15am on Friday, the force wrote: "Stolen vehicle by means of burglary on 17th Jan located by officers on night patrol on a car park on Keats Street in Leigh. "Vehicle recovered and will have a CSI exam in the morning." For more stories from where you live, visit InYourArea.
