Police increase park patrols after gang of men assault victim in terrifying robbery

Police are putting on extra patrols after a shocking robbery in a Bolton park. Officers are investigating after four men approached a victim in Longsight Park, off Longsight Lane, at around 10.30am yesterday (Monday, October 18).

The men, dressed all in black, attacked the victim and then stolen property, police say. READ MORE:Lowry show disrupted after 'transphobic incident' In a public announcement on Facebook, officers from GMP's Bolton North team moved to reassure residents who walk through the park that steps are being taken to keep them safe.

A spokesperson for the force said the robbery was an 'isolated incident' and included a picture of a PC walking in the park.
