Police continue manhunt after teen was seriously sexually assaulted near Bothwell Castle

dailyrecord.co.ukPolice are hunting for a man after a teenage girl was seriously sexually assaulted in Bothwell last week.The girl was approached by the suspect after breaking away from her friends in a wooded area near Bothwell Castle on Wednesday evening, May 20.Whilst on her own, the man approached on a mountain bike and subjected the teen to a serious sexual assault.Police say the incident took place between 5.45pm and 7.30pm with officers now gathering CCTV footage and any further information of the man and events at that time.The suspect is described as white, in his 20s, with a slim build and shaved head.
He was wearing a red t-shirt and blue shorts and riding a black mountain bike with green neon writing on the frame and tyres.
