Police called after person 'threatened with knife' outside high school

Police were called after a person was reportedly threatened with a knife outside a high school in Stockport on Wednesday afternoon (February 5).

The incident reportedly happened near to the Reddish Vale High School at around 4.30pm. It is understood a blade was drawn as a person was threatened.

The incident, which is being investigated, was understood to have not involved a student. Posts from parents on social media claimed a group of children nearby had witnessed the incident and 'ran' back inside.

Police were called to the incident and have been conducting enquiries. The force said the incident had been 'directed at one individual' on the street nearby.
