The driver of a suspected stolen car sent it flying over a wall during a chase through the streets of Leigh. Officers then had to run after a suspect on foot before detaining him, dramatic new footage shows.
The National Police Air Service was drafted in by Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officers who were pursuing a vehicle, which had been reported stolen.
In footage from the chopper, posted online, the car can be seen speeding down built up residential streets. At one point, it makes an about-turn, and churns its way over a field in a bid to evade police.
The driver can then be seen jumping out and running away on foot as the car smashes down an embankment and over a wall. A man is detained a short time afterwards.
