A man has been jailed for 11 years after stabbing his victim in the chest with a kitchen knife, and going on the run for more than a month.
Akeam Hibbert, of Bolton, was handed an 11-year sentence today (February 14) after he stabbed a man in Longsight in May 2024.
On May 17, 2024, four men were present at an address on Slade Lane where they were chatting, drinking and smoking in the kitchen for a couple of hours before they got into a verbal dispute, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) say.
During the altercation, Hibbert made threats to stab one of the men, as the others tried to calm him down. But Hibbert continued to move towards the victim and stabbed him with a kitchen knife.
