Police are still hunting the knife attacker that stabbed a man who fled by tram to Victoria station. Officers closed off both Victoria and Monsall tram stops following the incident on Sunday evening (February 17).

The victim, a man in his 20s, was found with stab wounds on the Metrolink platform at Victoria. In an update issued today (Monday), Greater Manchester Police confirmed the man was attacked on Pitsford Road in Monsall, north Manchester, at the junction with Swanley Avenue.

It's believed the victim then travelled by tram, on the Oldham and Rochdale line, towards the city centre - getting off the tram at Victoria.

The offender's movements following the attack are not currently known, the Manchester Evening News understands. No arrests have been made in connection with the stabbing so far.
