A man was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences just after landing at Manchester Airport. Officers boarded the plane from Amsterdam just after it had touched down and come to a stop on the tarmac.

He was detained by officers from Greater Manchester Police's Central Challenger organised crime team investigating alleged 'county lines' drug dealing between Lancashire and Manchester.

The man, whose age and address have not been disclosed, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply cocaine and cannabis.

He is currently in custody for questioning. In a post on their Facebook page in the early hours of Friday morning, GMP's Longsight and Moss Side policing team, shared a picture of the man being led away.
