Police swarmed Manchester Victoria station on Sunday night (February 16) after a man was found with stab injuries on a tram platform.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 7pm and found the victim with serious injuries. He was rushed to hospital from the scene, where he remains.
Part of the tram stop was taped off as detectives attended to conduct investigations. Trams to Rochdale, Didsbury and Manchester Airport were redirected throughout the evening as Victoria station and the Monsall tram stop were closed off.
Witnesses reported seeing 'at least six police vehicles' at the scene, with an air ambulance paramedic vehicle also in attendance.
