Teenager dies after being found with 'serious and life-threatening injuries'

A 19-year-old has died after being found with 'serious and life-threatening injuries' in Wigan on Sunday morning (February 16).

Police and paramedics were called to a concern for welfare report on Ruskin Avenue at around 7.30am. The 19-year-old was rushed to hospital from the scene.

Despite the best efforts of emergency crews, he later died as a result of his injuries. Police do not believe there to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death. Samaritans (116 123) samaritans.org operates a 24-hour service available every day of the year.
