Sign up today for the best stories straight to your inboxEmergency services have rushed to treat a pilot after a light aircraft crashed into a field in Northamptonshire.The plane came down at around 11.50am this morning (Wed) at Sywell Aerodrome, near Wellingborough.Police, fire and paramedics crews as well as an air ambulance, are currently at the scene treating the pilot for his injuries.Unconfirmed reports say the aircraft was a B.E.2 war plane used for demonstrations and belonging to a group called the Great War Display Team.The group of "highly experienced pilots" regularly display replica World War One planes at air shows across Britain and France.A Northamptonshire Police spokesman.
