Niantic has confirmed it will be taking Pokemon Go offline for a pretty hefty amount of time later today. The game, which generally speaking has only seen occasional instances of downtime for shorter amounts of time in the past, will be globally offline on June 1 for a grand total of seven hours.
The game will go offline in the UK from 7pm and remain offline until 2am. If you're in the US, that means you'll see the title go offline 2pm to 9pm (EDT) or 11am to 6pm (PDT).
It's worth noting that downtime doesn't always go exactly to plan, so it's reasonable to give Niantic a little wiggle room on either side of the published times.
