Plea for new committee members to keep lifeline Lanarkshire transport service on the road

A lifeline community transport service in East Kilbride is in dire need of new committee members in order to stay on the road.

East Kilbride Community Transport helps get a number of local groups - including the elderly and disabled - to weekly meetings and events but can also be booked for outings, all at a significantly reduced cost.

They also transport local schoolchildren to various locations and do pick-ups from schools as well as making sure individuals and groups who would otherwise struggle get to the likes of church.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
