Piers Morgan has become embroiled in an unlikely Twitter spat with former X Factor contestants Jedward. Over the last week twins John and Edward Grimes have been very vocal in Piers' headline-grabbing behaviour, that saw him sensationally quit Good Morning Britain after accusing Meghan Markle of lying about her mental health battle.

Following his abrupt departure, Piers tried to defend his departure by sharing a quote from Winston Churchill about freedom of speech.

He shared with his 7.8million Twitter followers: "Some people’s idea of free speech is that they are free to say what they like, but if anyone says anything back, that is an outrage." The quote came under criticism from some of his followers who pointed out the irony of Piers
