'Petrol bomb' attack at Greenock home leads to police probe

Greenock today. Emergency services raced to a property on MacGillivary Avenue around 5am on Sunday to reports of a deliberate fire at the home.

Luckily no-one was injured in the terrifying incident and no extensive damage was caused to the house.Police have now launched a probe into the deliberate fire attack and are urging anyone with information to get in touch as enquiries remain ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.05am on Sunday, 15 August, we received a report of a wilful fireraising at a property in MacGillivary Avenue in Greenock.“Emergency services attended, no one was injured and no damage was caused to the property.“Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
