The Republican field is shrinking, as Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) said this evening that he was suspending his presidential campaign.

Fox News Channel announced today that it is canceling The Next Revolution with Steve Hilton, though the network indicated the host would stay on as a contributor. The move is part of a reshuffle of the channel’s weekend primetime lineup, the new version of which is set to debut on Saturday.

In the aftermath of the departure of weekend opinion host Dan Bongino, Fox News intends to add a new panel show to its Saturday-night grid, while ending Steve Hilton’s Sunday-night program, “The Next Revolution.” Hilton will take a contributor role. Bongino and Fox News parted ways in April after failing to come to terms on a new contract. “We are excited to launch a new dynamic weekend line-up that will further solidify our position as the number one cable news network for more than two decades,” said Megan Albano, the Fox News senior vice president who oversees weekend programming and the weekday panel show “The Five,” in a statement. “We thank Steve Hilton for his show’s contributions and look forward to continuing to feature his valuable insights across our daytime and primetime programming.”

"Sunday Night in America" host Trey Gowdy ripped Democrats for their devotion to "soft-on-crime" policies on "Fox & Friends" Monday, calling crime a "tax on the poor" and championing for voters to head to the polls to facilitate change. Gowdy said communities need prosecutors who will commit to crackdowns on crime instead of those with a "hug-a-thug criminal justice philosophy." U.S. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) used a homophobic slur in an interview with former Trump chief strategist Steve Bannon while supporting Newt Gingrich’s attack on Democrats.Gingrich promised Republicans will throw members of the House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack in jail, after a week of multiple bombshell revelations culminating with House investigators receiving a massive number of Trump White House documents the former president tried for months to block.“Newt’s right, we are going to take power,” said Gaetz, who reportedly is under DOJ investigation for alleged child sex trafficking, having sex with an under-aged teen, and obstruction of justice.“And when we do, it’s not going to be the days of Paul Ryan and Trey Gowdy, where the Republicans go limp-wristed where they lose their backbone and fail to send a single subpoena,” the Florida Republican Congressman said, throwing in a homophobic slur that is used to depict weakness.“No, it’s going to be the days of Jim Jordan and Matt Gaetz and Marjorie Taylor Greene and you know what, we’re going to get answers, real answers about what happened in the election,” he said, before continuing to spin far right-wing conspiracy theories.“Answers about the Wuhan Institute of Virology and certainly answers about a Department of Justice and a national security apparatus that has gone totally off the rails,” he claimed.

Jesse Watters has been named the permanent host of Fox News’ 7 PM ET hour, filling the slot that has gone to a series of rotating opinion hosts since last year.

Fox News is adding new opinion shows to its weekend lineup featuring Trey Gowdy and Dan Bongino. The network also is adding the panel shows The Big Saturday Show and The Big Sunday Show to its schedule permanently.

Maria Bartiromo, Brian Kilmeade and Trey Gowdy are among the list of rotating hosts who will anchor Fox News Primetime, set for its debut in the 7 PM hour as part of a plan to fill the slot with opinion programming.
