Tove Lo has revealed that she is currently completing the writing process for her next album.The Swedish singer-songwriter, whose fourth record ‘Sunshine Kitty’ arrived in 2019, took to Instagram earlier today (October 5) to give fans an update on her next project.“Writing the last of my album in this place where I’ve spent much of my life. Happy sad it’s not so bad,” Tove Lo wrote as the caption to a scenic photograph.It comes after the artist confirmed early last month (September 8) that her next full-length was “taking shape”.

Charli XCX has announced details of her new BBC podcast, Charli XCX’s Best Song Ever.The first programme will air on BBC Sounds on Monday (August 9), and will see the artist “chat to friends and celebrity guests from around the world to discover the songs that have been instrumental in shaping their lives”.The likes of Beabadoobee, Mark Ronson, Tove Lo, Christine and the Queens and Caroline Polachek will all feature across the first season of Charli XCX’s Best Song Ever, which will consist of 20 episodes.“The reason I wanted to do this podcast is because I love talking to people, and I love exploring the emotional connection any person can have with music,” Charli said in a statement.

Tove Lo is set to make her acting debut in a new film remake of The Emigrants.Norwegian director Erik Poppe will direct Lo in the 2021 adaptation of Vilhelm Moberg’s 1950s novel of the same name.A bio describes the film as chronicling “the one and a half million Swedes who sought a better life across the Atlantic in the mid-19th century”. Lo – real name Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson – is set to play the character of Ulrika.In an interview with Deadline, Lo said getting into acting had always been “a dream rather than an intention”, but that she was “very happy” to be a part of the project.“It’s a classic told from a female perspective, which I love,” Lo said.
