Join thousands of others who have signed up for the Daily Record newsletter.The wife of a Dumbarton man imprisoned in India for almost 1,000 days has made an impassioned plea to a minister to end her ordeal.The devastated woman, who does not wish to be named, moved from India to stay with the family of Jagtar Singh Johal, who has been in custody since November 2017.Last week, she spoke to Lord Tariq Ahmad, Minister of State for South Asia and the Commonwealth, calling on him to help her family out of the “darkness”.The 33-year-old, known as Jaggi, was arrested over alleged involvement in the killings of right-wing Hindu leaders and the funding of a now-proscribed group, which he denies.No evidence has been led against him 32 months on.The
