Elton John praised the Nova Twins in a recent interview ahead of their performances on the same day of Glastonbury.Speaking with BBC Radio 1’s Clara Amfo, John shared his adoration of the duo claiming that their energy “Could light up Sheffield”. He shared: “These girls rock my world. I’ve had them on the [Apple Music Radio] show, I’ve played their music, too.“It’s so wonderful, what they do.

Glastonbury 2023 will take place next week (June 21-25) and plans for live TV, radio and online broadcasts from the festival have been confirmed.The 51st edition of the Worthy Farm event will be headlined by Arctic Monkeys, Guns N’ Roses and Elton John, with the latter performing his final-ever UK show. Bring Me The Horizon headlined Download Festival last night (June 9) with a brand new live show to announce new album ‘Post Human: Nex Gen’.Following on from their “triumphant, hard-won victory lap” at Reading & Leeds Festivals last year, Bring Me The Horizon returned to Download for the first time since 2014 yesterday and were joined onstage by Nova Twins and Evanescence‘s Amy Lee.Before the band took to the stage, the band teased the long-awaited follow-up to 2020’s ‘Post Human: Survival Horror’ before a two-minute video introduced the band’s evolved stage show and a new, ambitious narrative involving murderous A.I. and a mysterious cult, The Church Of Genxsis.

Nova Twins have been named as ambassadors for London’s Institute of Contemporary Music Performance brand-new Creative Musicianship Scholarship.The initiative was created to provide an opportunity to anyone passionate about creative musicianship who may not be able to seek Higher Education as part of their career.The duo – consisting of Amy Love and Georgia South – announced their scholarship with the IMCP on Twitter, sharing: “Being given an opportunity can make all the difference and certainly if it wasn’t for the opportunities we’ve had, then Nova Twins wouldn’t exist as we do today.”The scholarship is open for applications and will cover the cost of undergraduate tuition fees of one UK-based home fee status student or one international student for the entire three years of the BA (Hons) Creative Musicianship degree beginning September 2023.So excited to announce our brand new scholarship for @ICMPLondon’s BA Creative Musicianship degree, offering one lucky student full funding for the entire three years of their course! Watch our video interview with the duo above.Speaking to NME on the red carpet of The BRIT Awards 2023 – where they were nominated for Best Group and Alternative/Rock Act – the duo discussed their rocked up version of the track which was released last December.“We got the chance to submit a remix, but when they actually said they loved it we were like ,’No way!’, because you never know if it’ll even fly,” bassist Georgia South explained.Singer and guitarist Amy Love continued: “And we love the song as well, the song is so sexy,”“As soon as we heard it, we were like: ‘This sounds like it needs a heavy riff on it'”, South finished.When asked which of the other attendees they’d like to hop on a remix with, they shouted out BRITS Rising Star Award winners FLO.

Little Simz has won the 2022 Mercury Prize for her album ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’.The London rapper was favourite to take the prize and beat off competition from fellow favourites Self Esteem and Wet Leg at a live ceremony at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith tonight (October 18).Accepting the trophy, she said: “Wow, I’m very, very overwhelmed. I’m very grateful, glory to God.

The Mercury Prize has announced details of its rescheduled 2022 ceremony, which is set to take place next week – the original show having been pulled at the very last minute due to the death of the Queen last month.Eleven of this year’s nominated artists – Fergus McCreadie, Gwenno, Jessie Buckley & Bernard Butler, Joy Crookes, Kojey Radical, Little Simz, Nova Twins, Sam Fender, Self Esteem, Wet Leg and Yard Act – will perform live.Harry Styles will be the only absence, because he just can’t be bothered. Also, he’s on tour in the US. I suppose thats a fairly good excuse.
