BBC Breakfast's Dan Walker takes savage swipe at Paul Sinha on ITV's The Chase
Dan Walker took a savage swipe at ITV Chaser Paul Sinha's outfit on a celebrity edition of The Chase. The BBC Breakfast presenter starred in a star-studded episode of The Chase last May alongside reality star Ferne McCann, Scottish former MP Ruth Davison and Level 42 musician Mark King. However, it wasn't long before Dan decided to have a pop at TV quizzer Paul Sinha - after spotting the Chaser's bold white blazer in the studio.Former Strictly star proceeded to mock Paul's glam white tuxedo at the end of Mark King's cash-builder round, where he racked up £4,000.Paul offered the musician a high offer of £60,000 and a low of £1,000 before host Bradley Walsh turned to Dan and asked him what he thought Mark should do.Bradley asked him: "Dan, what do you say?", to which Dan cheekily said: "Don't get sucked in by the man in the white tuxedo."Paul saw the funny side of the dig, because he could be seen smirking at the quip when the camera turned to him.Dan then took another shot at Paul when he told Mark: "Your jacket's much better, go four grand."When it came to Dan's round, he got off to a flying start and banked a whopping £8,000 in his cash-builder, demonstrating a wealth of general knowledge.Things heated up when he decided to take a major risk after Chaser Paul Sinha put a high offer of £104,000 on the table.Dan bravely decided to accept the offer, but he was beaten by a question about the 2019 Oscars, which saw him accidentally click the wrong answer. The huge button-error proved to be his un-doing, because it meant he was Chased down and defeated.Dan turned to his teammates and said: "Sorry, gang."The rest of his team had already made it back to the panel for the Final Chase. The question read: "In 2019, which Marvel film

Jo Whiley refuses to discuss Taylor Hawkins 'troubles' in awkward BBC Breakfast chat
BBC Breakfast paid tribute to Foo Fighters star, Taylor Hawkins, who died on March 25, aged 50.Hosts Roger Johnson and Victoria Fritz reflected on the tragic news which was confirmed on Saturday (March 26)."Every so often, the world of music loses someone who seems universally and genuinely loved, respected and admired, both by fans and also by musicians," said Victoria.Roger added: "It's safe to say that Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins who died in Colombia on Friday night fits that bill." The pair introduced Taylor's pal BBC Radio 2 presenter Jo Whiley as well as Level 42 singer and bassist Mark King who had worked with Hawkins.During a chat with Whiley, Roger asked the broadcaster about Taylor's previous drug battles that saw him placed in a coma.Jo said: "In the past he did, yeah, but I'm just here to remember Taylor as he was as a person and a life force and that's all I want to talk about."There were issues in the past, the last time I saw him he was the picture of health, he was as I said so full of vitality and such a force for good. We have no idea, we don't know at the moment what happened."Jo's decision to refuse to discuss Taylor's past went down well with fans of the late musician who instantly took to social media to praise the radio presenter, with some fans saying how much they will miss the musician. One person tweeted: "@well done @jowhiley! #BBCBreakfast."While a second added: "Love it when people like Jo Whiley put an interviewer in their place on digging s**t #BBCBreakfast.""Gotta shout out to @jowhiley on #BBCBreakfast today being asked a question about Taylor's death and the accusations of substances.
