Comedian Jim Davidson slammed for wanting to see women footballers 'lift their tops up'
GB News.Former England goalkeeper Peter Shilton, journalist Ella Whelan and comedian Jim Davidson spoke to Dan Wootton about recent football news. They opened a debate on their thoughts about Northern Ireland women’s manager Kenny Shiels’ recent comment about women, saying that they are "more emotional than men".He said: "In the women’s game, when a team concedes a goal they concede a second within a very short period of time. Right through the women’s game, because girls and women are more emotional than men, they [don’t take a goal going in] very well."He made the statement after the team were beaten 5-0 by England and later apologised after meeting with the Irish Football Association.Jim Davidson tried to make a joke about the situation on GB News and commented on "cancel culture" but was quickly reprimanded by Ella Whelan. He stated: "It’s all about this cancel culture, he said what he thought, his opinion.
