The official trailer for Guy Ritchie's upcoming film The Covenant was released on MGM's YouTube account on Thursday.In the clip, Jake Gyllenhaal portrayed a former soldier who returned to Afghanistan to rescue an interpreter who had previously saved his life during an ambush from the forces of the Taliban.The movie - whose star was recently spotted on the set of one of Presumed Innocent -  is currently scheduled to be released to the public later this year.The Covenant's trailer begins with a squadron led by Sergeant John Kinley, played by Gyllenhaal, coming under attack from members of the Taliban.After the soldier is knocked nearly unconscious during the skirmish, it is revealed that the scene is just Kinley's recollection of the events, and he tells a friend that he only remembers the actions of the squadron's interpreter.
