Drake and Jennifer Lopez add signatures to Artists4Ceasefire letter amid Israel-Palestine conflict
Drake and Jennifer Lopez are some of the latest artists to sign an open letter calling for a ceasefire in the Israel-Palestine conflict.Adam Lambert has also joined the pair in adding his signature to the Artists4Ceasefire letter, which asks US President Joe Biden and Congress to push for the decision that would bring “an end to the bombing of Gaza”, with the aim of securing “the safe release of hostages”.The letter was signed originally by Dua Lipa, R.E.M.‘s Michael Stipe, Caroline Polachek, Killer Mike, Vic Mensa, Miguel, Kaytranada, Macklemore, as well as actors Cate Blanchett, Joaquin Phoenix, John Cusack, Lena Waithe and others.Part of the letter, which was published last week, reads: “We urge your administration, and all world leaders, to honour all of the lives in the Holy Land and call for and facilitate a ceasefire without delay – an end to the bombing of Gaza, and the safe release of hostages.“More than 5,000 people have been killed in the last week and a half – a number any person of conscience knows is catastrophic. We believe all life is sacred, no matter faith or ethnicity and we condemn the killing of Palestinian and Israeli civilians.”The letter continued: “Half of Gaza’s two million residents are children, and more than two thirds are refugees and their descendants being forced to flee their homes.

Drake hits back at “weirdos” questioning Millie Bobby Brown relationship
Drake has hit back at those who threw his platonic relationship with Millie Bobby Brown into question over recent years, labelling them as “weirdos”.The 36-year-old called out those who have had lingering questions about his friendship with the Stranger Things and Enola Holmes actor with the lyrics to his new track ‘Another Late Night’.Taken from his new album ‘For All The Dogs’ and starring Lil Yachty, Drake doesn’t hold back when it comes to shedding light on the friendship between the two.“My bank account is magnolia / Milly rockin’ /Weirdos in my comments talkin’ ’bout some Millie Bobby, look,” he raps in the track. “Bring them jokes up to the gang, we get to really flockin’ / Or send a finger to your mama in some FedEx boxes / Open up that shit, it’s jaw droppin’ / really shockin’ / I ain’t pretty flacko, bitch, this shit get really rocky.”The criticism of their friendship started back in 2017, when Brown met the Canadian musician before he performed in Brisbane, Australia as part of his Boy Meets World tour.Hanging out backstage, they each posted their own Instagram photos from the meet-and-greet, which saw the then-14-year-old actor and the then-31-year-old rapper stand side by side recreating Eleven’s signature power move – hand out, fingers outstretched. The following year, the friendship led to further critique when the teenage actor told the media that they communicate frequently by text, and that she saw him as a “great role model” who gave her relationship advice.“We just texted each other the other day, and he was like, ‘I miss you so much,’ and I was like, ‘I miss you more,’” she said on the 2018 Emmys red carpet.

That’s ruff: Drake seemingly ‘Dogs’ Rihanna on new album
not the way to take care of Rihanna. After Drake was long rumored to have an on-again, off-again relationship with Rihanna while the two superstars cozied on up the charts together for some iconic collabs — from 2010’s “What’s My Name?” and 2016’s “Work” to, most memorably (for this critic), 2011’s “Take Care” — Drizzy certain seems to be in his salty feelings on his new album “For All the Dogs.”Dropping at 6 a.m. Friday morning instead of the usual midnight (Note to Drake: Please don’t go all Kanye on us with this last-minute release shuffling), the 23-track, 85-minute epic — which would have been a damn triple LP back in the day — appears to address Ri-Ri on the already-viral cut “Fear of Heights.”And when we say “appears,” well, the trolling track packs all of the subtlety of his recent barretted-up hair-don’t that had him looking like Tempest Bleddsoe aka Vanessa Huxtable from “The Cosby Show.”Over a spooky groove to set it off, Drake — who was rumored to not be having it when Rihanna boo’d and then baby’d up with A$AP Rocky — sure sounds like a bitter ex when he opens with, “Why they make it sound like I’m still hung up on you?/That could never be/Gyal can’t be me/Better him than me/Better it’s not me.”The way that “gyal” appropriates Caribbean slang for “girl” leaves little doubt that he’s talking about the Barbadian beauty.
