The wait for Chief Keef‘s perpetually-delayed album Almighty Sosa 2 continues with no end in sight, but today sees the release of a new song from the Chicago rapper, “Say Ya Grace,” a collaboration with Lil Yachty that appears on the new Lyrical Lemonade compilation project All Is Yellow. The song is co-produced by Keef, Carlton McDowell, and Marvy Ayy, and introduces itself right away as an outlier in the handful of songs Keef has released over the past few years.

In August, Chicago drill pioneer Chief Keef and superproducer Mike WiLL Made-It announced a collaborative project with a single called "Bang Bang." It didn't take many listens before I was quite excited for the full-length, and while we may not have a release date yet, today there's a new single called "Status." It might be even better than "Bang Bang:" Sosa taps a lucid flow to string together bars of cheekiness and violence, over a beat that whines like a John Carpenter score. It's great.

Rapper Tray Savage was reported shot and killed in Chicago on June 19, a new report by TMZ claims. Tray, who was also a member of Chief Keef‘s record label, was driving in the Chatham neighborhood — on the south side of Chicago — around 11 AM when someone reportedly opened fire. Tray, who was only 26 at the time of his death, was hit in both his shoulder and neck, according to TMZ.
