Slaves drummer Isaac Holman has announced details of his debut solo album, which will be released under the name Baby Dave.‘Monkey Brain’ will be self-released on April 22, and features instrumental and production contributions from Blur and Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn as well new single ’29’.It follows the project’s first single ‘Too Shy For Tennis’, which was released last summer and was also assisted by Albarn.’29’ was written when Holman challenged himself to compose a track during an uneventful coach journey. You can hear the lo-fi electronic track, along with an appropriately bus-themed video below.“There really isn’t much of a story behind this tune, but that’s kind of the whole point,” Holman said.

Why Not.’.For his appearance on Fallon, Gallagher and his band perform ‘Everything’s Electric’ from a dimly lit studio space, with the singer wearing his trademark Parker and yielding a pair of maracas.You can watch the performance below:‘Everything’s Electric’ was co-written by Foo Fighters frontman Grohl, who also plays drums on the track, and its producer Greg Kurstin.Gallagher and Grohl first met a number of years ago when the Foos and Oasis toured together, and speculation about a collaboration between the two has been building in recent years.Speaking about Grohl’s contribution in a recent interview with NME, Gallagher said it was the first time the Foo Fighters frontman had ever sent him a song, but Grohl’s bandmate Taylor Hawkins sends him one “every fucking week”.Grohl’s contribution, brought to Gallagher himself by Kurstin, was chosen over any of his friend Hawkins’ offerings because “it’s an out-and-out rock’n’roll tune”. The drummer’s ideas, meanwhile, he said were “a fucking bit kinky, man”.Elsewhere in the chat with NME, Gallagher hit out at Damon Albarn‘s recent comments about Taylor Swift and declared her to be “fucking cool”.

Liam Gallagher has said that his involvement in Kosmic Kyte, the film production company he and his brother Noel set up last year, is to stop Noel from doing “something ridiculous”.Speaking to NME for this week’s Big Read, Liam said that he and his brother are still not on good terms despite co-founding Kosmic Kyte in 2021.Last year the company produced a new documentary, Oasis Knebworth 1996, about the band’s iconic shows in the summer of 1996. Liam told NME that he and his brother didn’t deal with one another directly, and that his involvement in the company is partly in order to counteract his brother’s presence.“I can’t remember the name, but he wanted to call the film something fucking ridiculous.
