Coronation Street fans were left stunned as lawyer Imran Habeeb was killed off in tense episodes during the flash-forward week.It came amid a battle between Abi Webster and Imran for custody of their son Alfie, with Abi determined to steal her baby away to Costa Rica armed with fake passports.But things quickly spiralled out of control as Imran spotted her packed suitcase full of baby clothes, and discovered the documents she’d had forged for Alfie to get him out of the country.With things getting passionate between Abi and Kevin again, Toyah stormed off to the police station to hand Abi in - but Imran, desperate to cover his lies about framing her for drugs, rushed to stop her.What resulted was the pair both getting into the car to drive away, but after Kevin had fiddled with the engine to disable it in an attempt to reunite Alfie with Abi.Though he later fixed the vehicle, Toyah and Imran ended up in a deadly crash which saw them both left unconscious, though Imran later recovered and was seen desperately trying to extricate his wife from the car, with falling scaffolding above them.But despite things looking good, Imran sadly succumbed to his injuries and was killed off from the soap - months after actor Charlie De Melo announced he was quitting the cobbles.Taking to social media after the shock death, fans were left grieving for a soap stalwart after five years on the cobbles - while others were just in hysterics at the "hilarious" special effects as the scaffolding began to collapse around the car.And Imran was so desperate to get Toyah out of the car he repeatedly slammed on the doors, leaving viewers baffled.One wrote: "Scaffolding is loose and coming down, here's a great idea...

ITV soap Coronation Street have been showing big love to their co-star Harriet Bibby after a huge announcement this week.It was revealed that the young actress, who plays 16-year-old Summer Spellman in the show, has been put up for a National Television Award.The huge event, which is set to take place in September, announced its long list of talented actors and actresses up for the special award with many Corrie stars making the cut.Harriet is up for the best Serial Drama Performance in the ITV soap after her harrowing storyline of struggling with an eating disorder over exam stress and her diabetes diagnosis.Harriet isn't the only Corrie star in the category either as she's up against co-stars Charlie De Melo, who plays Imran Habeeb, and his on-screen wife Toyah, played by Georgia Taylor.Corrie legend Maureen Lipman, who plays Evelyn Plummer, is also up for an award along with Kelly Neelan actress Millie Gibson.There are also stars from other hit soaps that have been nominated including Gillian Wright who plays Jean Slater in EastEnders, actor Harvey Virdi who portrays Misbah Maalik in Hollyoaks and Marlon Dingle actor Mark Charnock in Emmerdale.People were quick to show their love and support for Harriet on the nomination including her on-screen bestie Amy Barlow, played by Elle Mulvaney.Taking to her Instagram story, the actress wrote: "She's only gone and got nominated for an NTA!" Coronation Street star Michael Le Vell has asked bosses to bring back his character's legendary moustache.The 57-year-old actor has played Kevin Webster in the long-running ITV soap since 1983.Over the past four decades, Michael has been inundated with letters from fans sharing their love for his facial hair.He would also make appearances at gay clubs back in the day and Michael is keen to bring back the moustache.Speaking to Daily Star and other press, Michael said: "I actually asked Iain a couple of years ago could we do it for Movember but apparently we can't because it's a specific charity."I thought it would be quite fun.
