Emmerdale star Amy Walsh confessed on Lorraine that since tying the knot with her actor husband, Toby-Alexander Smith, she’s “barely seen him”. While chatting to Christine Lampard who was standing in for Lorraine Kelly, Amy revealed that she finds it “hard” to spend time with her family thanks to her busy schedule. “We do still feel like newlyweds,” Amy confessed.

Emmerdale superfans have taken to Reddit to speculate whether or not a new character is set to disrupt the soap.Fans of the show are no strangers to spotting plot holes or new storylines on the horizon and the recent drama with Nate and Tracy makes for no exception.One took to the social news website to share their thoughts on the potential newcomer: “In tonight’s episode, Nate revealed that Tracy has found a new man while being away,” referring to the actress Amy Walsh’s maternity leave.The Reddit user continued: “We also know that the actress’ real-life partner Toby-Alexander Smith has been cast on Emmerdale following his exit from EastEnders”.Toby-Alexander has recently left the BBC soap following a long run as villain Gray Atkins, having previously starred as Jason Carswell in Doctors.His character’s recent EastEnders storyline has seen him abuse his partners.Throughout 2019, his character was seen punching and hitting his then-wife Chantelle Atkins and even abused her while she was pregnant. Chantelle denied the abuse to doctors and eventually, the two ended up in an altercation which led to her death, as Gray pushed her onto an open dishwasher where she was impaled by the knives within.The Reddit user continued to speculate whether Gray’s actor would be joining the Emmerdale cast and said that it feels like the “most obvious outcome” will be that Tracy will bring back Toby-Alexander Smith’s new character.They also mentioned that his character could be “her new beau” and fellow fans lapped up the theory.According to Embryo, Toby could earn up to £2,000 per episode as the highest amount an Emmerdale actor is paid.
