Partick Thistle slam SPFL and SFA in stinging statement over season suspension

SFA tonight and accused the authorities of shafting them over the decision to suspend the season. All football below the Championship has been put on hold for at least three weeks as a result of the rising number of coronavirus cases.

Thistle were relegated to the third tier in the summer after last season was stopped early by the virus despite being just two points from safety with a game in hand.

They had pleaded with the SPFL to reorganise the leagues before the resumption of play in October to allow them - as a full-time club ready to play - to be included in a league of like-minded full-time clubs.
