Joseph Jones, 41, kicked, throttled, and slapped the victim in a drunken rage leaving her with two black eyes. Manchester Evening News reports how she was only able to raise the alarm when he left the flat the next morning to buy more booze.
Minshull Street Crown Court heard how he had arrived at the woman’s flat after a pub crawl in the city centre. The pair then ended up in a heated argument about coronavirus that culminated in him kicking a plate from her hands.
