Worsley restaurant have cancelled their ‘Christmas market’ event after being told they could be fined. The market-style event - due to be held at The Delph, on Worsley Road - would have lasted two days starting on December 12.It was hoped the event would feature a stall selling hog roast, mulled wine and festive wreathes.
But owners Natalie Robinson and Philip Campbell say they were approached by Salford council officers, who warned them of strict Covid-19 restrictions.
Natalie, 36, claims she was told if visitors congregated nearby after purchasing food, she and Philip could be fined.She claims she was told the fine would be enforceable even if visitors went to eat by a nearby monument, not on their land.The pair say they were warned.
