The scale and ‘poor’ quality of the tower proposed in Deansgate would have a ‘detrimental’ impact on its surroundings and nearby heritage buildings, according to Manchester council.
Fusion Students, the developer behind the 534-bed scheme which would include roof terraces, a 24/7 concierge, a gym and a cinema, has also been accused of failing to demonstrate an ‘unmet need for student accommodation’.
