The clear blue sky acts as an inappropriate backdrop to the lines of shuttered stalls in Bury Market. It is Wednesday, which normally means coachloads of visitors from across the country descend on the town for market day.
Today, there are no coaches. Nor many stalls open for business, or customers, for that matter. But while the UK is in lockdown, some here are trying to limp on.
The market was open as normal last week, but after Prime Minister Boris Johnson ordered all 'non-essential' shops to close, only a handful here reopened on Wednesday.
One of those was Whippys pie shop. Owner Emma Scott set up the business in 2014 and has since built up a regular customer base.
