Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Mason Greenwood's absence at Everton was due to illness. The forward has been a regular for Manchester United this term but was nowhere to be seen at Goodison Park.
Greenwood played in last Sunday's defeat against Arsenal and came off the bench against Istanbul Basaksehir on Wednesday. But the teenager picked up an illness which meant he wasn't able to travel to Merseyside. "He wasn’t feeling well last night," Solskjaer explained. "He looked well in training, he looked OK, but he reported not well and couldn’t travel." It comes just days after the youngster was left out of the latest England squad named by Gareth Southgate.
