Old 50p coin rarer and harder to find than Kew Gardens coin could be worth a lot

dailystar.co.ukrare coin which is harder to find than the famous Kew Gardens 50p could be worth a lot of money. The EC 50p coin was released between 1992 and 1993 by the Royal Mint to mark the completion of the Single Market.
It was also launched to celebrate the UK's presidency of the European Council. With its design it features a birds-eye view of a conference table with 12 chairs around it for each of the ministers.
Only 109,000 of these rare 50p coins were minted, which is far less than the Kew Gardens coin that has 210,000. And with this coin, it's a lot harder to find than most making it very rare.
The EC 50p was stamped on an older design of the 50p coin that was taken out of circulation in 1997. Experts say it isn't impossible to find one lurking.
