The service took the step of issuing a warning via its official Twitter account due to the strain on resources on Monday evening. "We are currently dealing with a high number of incidents so please bear with us as we prioritise calls for our most seriously ill patients first," the message said.
It comes after the Manchester Evening News reported earlier this month how NWAS has moved to a higher alert level as it experiences 'extreme pressure' amid the lifting of coronavirus restrictions.
