An investigation has been launched after a young man was shot dead in north London - with the gunman remaining at large. The Metropolitan Police Service's Enfield Borough branch confirmed officers and paramedics were called to the scene in Beaconsfield Road at around 9pm on Wednesday.
The victim, described as being in his mid-20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. He is understood to have been shot in the street.
A crime scene was put in place. Police have said no arrests have been made and enquiries continue. Footage from the scene shows at least a dozen police vehicles and a cordon, with officers patrolling the street.
