President Donald Trump declared himself the "president of law and order" in a Rose Garden speech Monday afternoon (June 1), threatening military response to protests if the violence does not ease.“Mayors and governors must establish an overwhelming law enforcement presence until the violence has been quelled,” he said. “If a city or state refuses to take the actions that are necessary to defend the life and property of their residents, then I will deploy the U.S.

John Cusack, Cardi B and more celebrities expressed their anger and difference of opinion from President Donald Trump after he held a press conference about the nationwide protests for the justice of George Floyd on June 1 and threatened to potentially illegally use the American military against the American people after violent protests. The speech came hours after the Washington D.C. police teargassed and and used rubber bullets and pepper spray on at least 1000 protesters in front of the White House and in it, the Commander-in-Chief said that although he is “an ally of peaceful protesters”, he will step in if cities or states “refuse to take the actions that are necessary to defend the life and property of their residents.”

Anonymous is back again and they're out to be the voice for the voiceless in a big way. For the unversed, Anonymous are a group of unidentified hackers, who were on the down-low for a few years and have now resurfaced amidst the death of African American, George Floyd, due to police violence. In a viral video shared on their official Facebook page, the silhouette of the person in a black hoodie and Guy Fawkes mask (from V for Vendetta) is seen talking about police brutality, with special mention to ex-officer of the Minneapolis Police Department, Derek Chauvin, who was responsible for George's death.

As people continue to take to the streets to protest the wrongful killing of George Floyd, celebrities are using their platform and resources to help bail out protestors in Minnesota and across the country.  On Saturday, Chrissy Teigen shared on Twitter that "in celebration of whatever the f-ck maga night is, I am commited to donating $100,000 to the bail outs of protestors across the country."  Shortly after, she committed to donating $200,000. Teigen's remarks were made in response to Donald Trump tweeting about protestors outside of the White House.
