Nick Knowles could find himself at the centre of a bidding war if he is axed by the BBC over his breakfast advert for Shreddies, according to reports.
The 58-year-old DIY SOS star is said to have angered BBC bosses as he recently fronted a campaign for the cereal brand, inadvertently breaching BBC rules.
Host Nick plays a builder in the cereal advert and is said to be in "absolute torment" over the possibility of losing his presenting job over it.
Behind-the-scenes, Nick's representatives and the BBC are reportedly "working together to seek a solution". But now a source says he is being eyed-up by Channel 5 if he has to give up his beloved TV show, which has been on screens for 21 years.
