Nick Knowles embroiled in DIY SOS row after 'breaking rules' with Shreddies advert

mirror.co.ukNick Knowles has become embroiled with BBC bosses over his appearance in a Shreddies advert. The TV presenter, 58, has appeared on DIY SOS for 21 years but his future is uncertain after inadvertently breaching BBC rules.
Host Nick plays a builder in the cereal advert and is said to be in "absolute torment" over the possibility of losing his presenting job over it.
BBC bosses have reportedly suggested that the ad breaches its advertising rules and that Nick was last month told in a Zoom meeting that he needed to get it pulled - otherwise he would need to quit DIY SOS.
A source told The Sun : "[The BBC] have very strict guidelines when it comes to their talent and advertising and he has already broken them by filming the ads.
