A tribute to Tony Award nominee Nick Cordero, who died of COVID-19 complications, will stream on Sunday, Sept. 6. The virtual ceremony will combine still and performance media, including photographs and videos featuring memories and commentary by people the Broadway star grew up and worked with.
Cordero’s former castmates on productions such as A Bronx Tale, Bullets Over Broadway, The Toxic Avenger, Rock of Ages and Waitress are also slated for special appearances and performances during the live-streamed tribute.
The event is free to watch on Broadway on Demand, with donations benefiting the Save The Music Foundation, the nonprofit dedicated to protecting school students and communities' access to music education.
