NHS office staff ‘given Covid vaccine before doctors’ as some GPs 'turned away'

NHS office staff have reportedly been given the coronavirus vaccine before doctors. The British Medical Association (BMA) and Doctors Association UK (DAUK) are calling for equal access to the jab.

It comes after NHS administrative staff and Boots pharmacy workers in north-west London were reportedly given the vaccine. However, GPs in high-risk roles are being turned away from vaccination hubs.

In a letter to NHS England boss Simon Stevens, the BMA said the unequal access was 'deeply worrying'. BMA chair Chaand Nagpaul added that there was no consistent policy for inoculating frontline staff.
