A nurse visiting a sick patient at their home was hit with a parking ticket for being two minutes late back to his car despite displaying an NHS key worker badge.
District nurse Andy Rock, from Selston in Notts., told Nottinghamshire Live that the ticket sends out the wrong message to health care workers who are doing a tough job under a great deal of strain.
He said that nurses' workload has increased since GPs began carrying out telephone consultations with patients because of the coronavirus pandemic.
He parked his car on Nottingham Road, Basford, at around 3.30pm on October 23 to visit a poorly patient and checked to see if he could park on the street.
