A foundation running an NHS hospital is set to face charges over the death of a baby boy in its care. The Care Quality Commission has confirmed East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation trust will be prosecuted over the death.
The trust is accused of exposing Harry Richford and his mother to significant risk of avoidable harm at one of its hospitals.
Baby Harry died seven days after he was born in November 2017 at the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate, Kent.
